My Positions

NEUTRAL
N

Public Pre-Kindergarten

“Some children are gifted and can benefit from pre-kindergarten education, but it should not be required.”

Agriculture & Farms

“I strongly support small local owned farms and produce supplied directly to the community. I have strong reservations against large production where migrant labor is used and conditions are not humane. I also have reservations against inhumane treatment of animals which is common in large production farms.”

SUPPORT
S

Alcohol Sales

“I support less restrictions on responsible users obtaining wine and beer. I am not opposed to wine being sold in grocery stores same as beer.”

Civil Liberties and Civil Rights

“I am for absolute rights for all people who are legally in the United State and whose views do not cause harm to others. If someone has sexual preferences that are against someones moral beliefs, they should still be able to have the same liberties and benefits. With the public restroom issue, where the majority feel uneasy, perhaps additional neutral restrooms need to be provided in the future.”

SUPPORT
S

Crime & Punishment

“I believe in second chances for minor offenses. All crimes have motives and a degree of circumstances. When crimes are blatant and cause significant harm to others, there should be the toughest penalties. Living conditions for convicted felons should not be any better than those who are fighting in the armed forces at the lowest rank, e.g. tent city jails with temperatures like Iraq are OK. ”

STRONGLY SUPPORT

Education Choice & Vouchers

“I am all for local control of education without strings attached to the Federal Government. Parents have their liberty to teach their children and choose what is best for them. Choice is best!”

Public Safety

“I support highest paid law officers to attract the best in the country. I support testing and screening similar to what FBI candidates would face prior to being considered. I favor educating youth and the public on cost of crime and prevention. I favor stronger support for families and community outreach and activities. Favor jobs that attract youth to keep them busy and focused on careers.”

STRONGLY SUPPORT

Higher Education

“Strongly support higher education especially preparation for Sciences Technology Engineering and Math. ”

Education

“Education is vital! No reason not to support as a very high priority.”

NEUTRAL
N

ISTEP

“I support any state initiative to help propel students through school as fast as they desire and provide early entry to college. I am opposed to student ID tracking and especially selling the data to third party vendors and making available to the federal level.”

SUPPORT
S

Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll

“Some laws prevent the liberty of those who are responsible. For one, I am opposed to restrictions to a safer alternatives e.g. alcohol and pain meds, namely cannabis. This is a plant that can and should be allowed to grow in one's own back yard. It would illuminate the need for the drug cartels to smuggle their supplies of marijuana into this country. I am opposed to coke, meth etc. of course!”

OPPOSE
O

Abortion

“I love children. Those who consider abortion should also seriously consider those who want to be parents who are so desperate to adopt. What an act of charity to carry a baby full term for this reason. All lives will be richly blessed. I understand there are cases of rape and medical conditions that jeopardize life. In those case, careful consideration is most important. If so I am not opposed.”

OPPOSE

Minimum Wage

“Economically, minimum wage increases inflation. Let the free market determine what wage is best. Those who are unable to make ends meet may benefit meeting with state agencies that provide job training, career path planning and education. Of course there are welfare programs for those in a really tough spot, but should be temporary.”

STRONGLY SUPPORT
S+

Guns & Ammunition

“Responsible citizens have the right to defend their lives and families even with deadly force if necessary. Hunting is also a loved sport and way of life for some. It is an American value. Guns are a hobby for many. Defending our freedom is also important from (God forbid) a tyrannical government, civil war, and invasion of foreign enemies. For this reason, no limit on assault weapons.”

SUPPORT
S

Mental Illness & Guns

“This can be tricky. Who is to say definitively someone has a mental illness. It is not black and white all the time, but where it clearly is not gray someone who is without question mentally ill, should not have access to to arms. Those who are convicted violent felons should not have access to arms. ”

STRONGLY SUPPORT

Immigration, A Workable Immigration Policy

“Migrants crossing the boarders, we provide jobs, free medical in our ERs and education. We need to stop rewarding those who come here illegally with such benefits. Those who are here and established need to earn their rights to be here. 1st learning to speak English, 2nd pay an additional reasonable tax to cover their use of free medical and education.”

STRONGLY SUPPORT
S+

Roads

“I strongly support a practical vision of growth and preparation of roads 20 to 30 years in advance, lowering the need for use of emanate domain.”

STRONGLY SUPPORT

RFRA

“This country was founded on freedom of religion. I am very religious, but I am strongly opposed to any religion that imposes, intolerance, violence and opposes social order.”
