I strongly support farmers rights. Specifically, Hawaii's Water Rights. Native Hawaiians' birthright is the water or wai that comes down the mountains after it rains. Since time began in the islands Native Hawaiians followed an ecological system that respected the land or aina. This system ensures that the rainfall flows down from the mountains into the streams, farms or loi and to the oceans

Local Farming has once been the backbone of rural counties such as Wadena. Local farmers need and deserve our support in lower taxes and assistance with marketing, sales and business development to help their hard work turn into liveable income.

Farming is the backbone of America. American Farms not only feed America, but the world as well. It is appalling the struggle American Farmers face today. It is primarily due to over taxation, and over regulations, both State and Federal. I fully support Laws that benefit American Farms, American Farmers, and the American Agriculture Industry.

The statement was "opposes or supports laws that benefit farms... including federal subsidies and insurance guarantees". Inasmuch as this applies to the state, I oppose taxpayer handouts for farmers. I do support lightening regulations against what they can or cannot farm in the first place.

Over-regulation must be ended. Many District working class citizens hold vocations in mining, farming and industry. They must be able to receive adequate wages that are not diminished due to government regulatory fees incurred by their employers or business owners.
