As a (WWOOF) Willing Worker on Organic Farms for two years and former Vermont Youth Conservation Corps employee, I highly value progressive environmental protections as a priority responsibility. We must support Bio sustainable business practices at all costs. Ban artificial GMOs, toxic packaging, and non organic herbicide/pesticides and streamline efficient Municipal composting for all.

I strongly support small local owned farms and produce supplied directly to the community. I have strong reservations against large production where migrant labor is used and conditions are not humane. I also have reservations against inhumane treatment of animals which is common in large production farms.

Existing laws protect farmers as much as any other business. It s not the governmen's job to protect on industry at the expense of another and at the espense of the taxpayers. Insurance works in any industry and is the best way to protect farmers and any otehr business.
