Quick Bio

I am a Democrat and Registered Nurse running for Maryland's 6th U.S. Congressional District as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). As a member of National Nurses United and a labor advocate, I believe in Sen. Sanders as the candidate with the most integrity with valuable experience in the civil rights movement. Regarding healthcare as a human right, better care for our veterans, increasing access to higher education, climate justice and expanding social security, Sen. Sanders supports the issues closest to me.

Obamacare

“The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act made healthcare insurance more accessible for many Americans. Unfortunately, several states did not support the Medicare expansion and left hundreds of thousands without affordable healthcare coverage. This legislation is the foundation on which to build an even better healthcare system.”

Minimum Wage

“Increasing the minimum wage helps individuals and families to not work 40 hours a week and still live in poverty. Money earned with a higher minimum wage will subsequently assist the economy when spent by those earning livable wages.”

Education

“For many professions and careers, a college degree is the base to which many attribute the start of their working life. An education system that is more accessible for those interested in pursuing higher education is paramount. We must invest in education at all levels, and value the benefit of education on quality of life for Americans.”
