Though the elite are richer than ever, they are contributing less than ever to the tax base that keeps the infrastructure their profits rely upon going. Make Wall Street, big corporations, and the rich pay their fair share of taxes. Rewrite the entire tax code to be truly progressive with tax cuts for working families, the poor and middle class, and higher taxes for the richest Americans.

As an African American I have watched whites in the suburbs always willing to increase property tax for the critical things they need like new schools. In urban communities we need to rethink our approach to opposing taxes.

I oppose the increase of taxes as the only way to fund the projects & services, including infrastructure, special tax for new buildings, etc,, because property taxes are already too high & besides that the county has other revenues to fund these Projects/Programs. 63% of Broward County budget is used for operations. We need to spend the County Budget wisely, review & cut salaries for top officials
