Transparency

Transparency is needed in our city government. It does little good to add a section on a website to show information available when it's not practiced behind the closed deal making doors.

Transparency is needed in every level of government. When it comes to the need of more transparency I am generally more concerned with the federal and state governments rather than the city level. When you become frustrated with something in the government it always seems easier to get ahold of my local elected officials than state and federal elected officials.

If elected as Mayor I will continue to push to have our meetings broadcast and published to avoid conflicting information in the future. In addition to broadcasting regular meetings we should do the same with budget workshops, advisory board meetings and community meetings. If we want the community's trust we must provide them with every tool available to look into our actions.
