Within reason, we need a strong military to deter conflict. A partial or total recall of foreign deployed and stationed troops could save money and prevent depleting the life of equipment such as tanks and aircraft. There are geographic locations and situations where and when US troops should be based abroad.

I support a strong national defense but we can cut the pentagon's budget immensely and still have a strong military

A National defense is one of the main roles of the federal government. At the moment our military spending is through the roof. We spend $619 billion a year on the military, china is in 2nd with $171 billion. Cut our military spending in half, we will still be spending more than the Chinese by almost double. I will promote and vote for any bill to decreases military spending to that level.

Our national government is in shambles. We need a strong defense for the United States. I'm solid on international issues.
