We are a nation of laws. One particular religious view should not hold sway over the political decisions that are made in our legislatures. We must be respectful of our differences but we should never confuse religious conviction with the right to impose this view on others.

The Judeo-Christian belief, the Bible, has always guided this country. And it must remain that way. I have read many of our founding fathers' writings on this issue, and I will defend its association with the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Religion and our Republic form of gov't must remain together.

The issue one runs across for those who wish to include religion in government is the insistence that it is only their own religion which will be included. This in turn breeds heresy, and eventual imposition of dogma through the government. The only way to secure all religious faith and freedom is to keep them safely away from the public space and governance.
