Roads

I am looking forward to the rubber rads they have in Germany that last forever and diversifying our road construction companies into other areas.

It is important to keep the roads and bridges in Bartholomew County in good repair. According to one website Bartholomew County has 21 structurally-deficient bridges. These are bridges suffering from deterioration of at least one major component. Poor roads and bridges become a public safety hazard. We must do whatever is necessary to maintain safe roads and bridges.

Upgrading our network of roads and building new roads is vital to economic growth. At the same time we must be responsible stewards of our land and natural resources. Albuquerque's West Side is home to sacred lands and the Petroglyph National Monument, a public shooting range that benefits public safety officers and citizens throughout the state, and Double Eagle II Airport. We must respect these.

I-11 will make or break our town. We must insist that it comes as close to Hawthorne as possible and I commit to making sure the state knows our stand on this. I have been attending all I-ll hearings and will continue to do so.
