The city Unions all have contracts and their fair. I do believe the Police Officers Rank & file salaries need to be reviewed as it is a more dangerous position daily. The Union members of The ATU ( The Rapid Transit ) have been with out a contract for 2 years. This is unacceptable as management is not bargaining in good faith. We must settle this contract soon.

What lawmakers call Payroll Protection has nothing to do with protecting your pay. What it does do is introduce so called “Right to Work” laws in Missouri. These laws are passed for special interest to bring down wages in the state! Does that sound like payroll protection? NO!

Organized labor has brought us things like paid vacations, weekends off, a minimum wage, a 40-hour work week, overtime pay, and much more. We are all better when everyone is represented at the table. I strongly support our brothers and sisters in organized labor and our service unions.
