Organized Labor Union Position

I support workers right to organize as a member of the National Writers Union - UAW 1981/AFL-CIO, and would strongly stand in solidarity as a Ypsilanti Township Trustee.

It is a known fact that unions violate individual rights, "the non-aggression principle" and private property rights. If a business owner asks a union to represent those employees, that's fine, however, if they trespass, the police must stop that union. If those same employees go out on strike, that business must be allowed to fire those strikers and hire those replacements without any harm.

Labor Unions protect our workers from unsafe and unethical work practices. I strongly believe they are needed to help our workers.

I would support legislation protecting worker’s rights’ to organize & engage in collective bargaining. There are direct correlations between income stagnation & rising inequality w/ the erosion of rights. States that lack the rights to organize fail in every category from income stagnation to higher incidences of work-related deaths, etc.
