We should absolutely have very strong gun control in our country. We just need to look to Australia to see an example of how strong gun control can absolutely and positively reduce gun related violence.

The second amendment is interpreted that the people have to the right to possess firearms. This was placed as the second amendment because our forefathers knew governments are not concerned with the rights of an unarmed population.

No one under the age of 19 years old, under the US Constitution, shall be in possession of a firearm. Unless that person(s) is protecting life, liberty or property. Beyond that, everyone not convicted of a felony has the "unalienable right" to carry and to buy ammo without any law limiting the amount.

Citizens have a right to defend themselves to the highest level as a malitia person position. Criminals don't follow any laws, so we should have and Do have the right to keep and bear arms to defend ourselves and our homes. The police are not everywhere, and hopefully we can keep from becoming a police state. The 2nd Amendment was NOT about Hunting - it's about keeping the ones in charge honest.
