I'm a sixth generation Kansan and Topekan. I worked my first political campaign for my Dad in the early 60's passing out flyers as a 6 year old. Most recently I was a Congressional District Delegate for Bernie Sanders in the Presidential Primary Caucuses. Barack Obama recently said, "Do not wait for the perfect message, don’t wait to feel a tingle in your spine because you're expecting politicians to be so inspiring and poetic and moving that somehow, 'OK, I'll get off my couch after all and go spend the 15-20 minutes it takes for me to vote,'" So this is me, stepping up a bit.
“We are currently enjoying low unemployment, but many people are still working in jobs that pay far to little. I support government encouraging job creation in clean, green industries that will be growing in the future, and that will pay minimum wages of no less than $15 an hour.”
“Our prisons have become private corporations that benefit from marijuana prohibition and costs us untold amounts of tax money and human lives ruined. The war on Marijuana is expensive and ridiculous. and we are ignoring a lucrative cash crop that our state would greatly benefit from.”
“I support a $15 an hour minimum wage.”
“People of color, LGBTQ, Women, should be free from physical, political, legal and economic discrimination and violence. I support laws that help to provide this freedom.”
