Rob has a passion for people, both professionally and civically. He has lived in the Lansing area since he was a child, and is proud to call Mid-Michigan his home. Rob graduated from Michigan State with his Masters in Social Work and works in the mental health field, but also has over 15 years of political organizing and advocacy experience. Rob's passion for empowering people is why he's running for for the 68th State House seat.
“Michigan has a serious people in cages problem. The state spends 1 in every 5 general fund tax dollars on imprisoning people while places in our state have poisoned water and our roads suck. We incarcerate people at a rate that is about 31% higher than other states in the Midwest. This is simply unacceptable and my criminal justice reform plan can help address this. ”
“I support the LGBT community's right to societal equality in all spheres including marriage, bathroom use, adoption, and more. I oppose all prejudicial legislation targeting the LGBT community. The state has no business in the peaceful personal affairs of others. ”
I'm looking for people to help talk to voters in their community about issues that matter and register voters. Training is provided. You'll learn a lot, and have a good time doing it too.
