Quick Bio

As your State Representative I will: - Work to Increase the amount of Affordable Housing. There is a dire need for both basic shelter and affordable housing within our district. - Improve Access to Livable Wages. Most people must commute out of the district to find livable wages. It is going to take a coordinated effort of road improvements, more access to public transportation and alternatives to the daily commute. - Support programs for Safer Local Neighborhood. We need to find ways to address the opioid epidemic in our communities as a health issue and not just a police issue.

My Positions

Affordable Housing

“As a community, we should be working together to shelter the homeless. Any of us could find yourself homeless due to a loss of employment or a major medical issue. I support the “Housing First” model and the WLIHA.org legislative agenda and plan to focus on supporting and funding programs like San Francisco’s Navigation Center.”

Higher Education

“Education grants access to livable wages and should be available to all. Why do Americans carry more education debt than credit card debt? An educated labor force is vital to the growth of the area but should we be paying off school loans into our 50s and 60s? I want to establish the foundation needed to ensure our children are educated without the heavy burden of education debt. ”

Guns & Ammunition

“History shows us that an unarmed civilian population is easier to control than an armed one. History also shows that guns in the hands of un-responsible people often leads to misuse, death and sorrow. As a community, we need to work together to protect our self from both Individuals who want to interfere with our pursuit of happiness and governments that want to control us.”

Public Transportation & Roads

“The commute that used to take 20 minutes now routinely takes over and hour. To improve our daily commute to get to these livable wages, It is going to take a coordinated effort that includes road improvements, more access to public transportation, and activity seeking alternatives to the daily commute.”

STRONGLY SUPPORT

Income Inequality and Living wage

“The state economy relies on a healthy workforce that earns a living wage. Without basic healthcare and a livable wage, we often must choose between food or medicine for our loved ones. This is unacceptable and needs to change. I want to be your voice in Olympia to fight for your right to affordable healthcare and a livable wage.”

Fracking

“Fracking causes more long term damage than any other form of human caused damage. I support a worldwide moratorium on all forms of Hydraulic fracturing.”
