Income Inequality and Living wage

“Women in the U.S. who work full time, year round are paid only 80 cents for every dollar paid to men — and for women of color, the wage gap is even larger. It’s long past time to close the gap. The bottom line is that if you work hard and play by the rules, you should be rewarded with a good life for yourself and a better chance for your children to have a better future.”

Immigration, A Workable Immigration Policy

“As an immigrant myself, I was proud of the State of Maryland for being one of the first states to approve the Dream Act, which provides in-state tuition breaks for undocumented immigrants. The State of Maryland also passed a law that allowed illegal immigrants to obtain drivers’ licenses. As your State Delegate, I will make sure that the immigrant populations no longer live in fear of deportation”

Education

“As your Delegate, I will make sure that: All children in District 20 have access to a world-class education to allow them to compete in the global economy. I will strongly advocate for tuition-free colleges and universities to ensure that no child will no longer be denied access to Ivy League institutions because of his/her economic background. ”

Gun Control

“I believe that assault weapons should be banned nationwide, The gun show loophole should be closed to prevent private sellers from selling firearms without background checks. We have to address the mental health issues in this country, to solve some of the root causes of gun-related violent crime.”
