Joe is a lifelong resident of Fort Bend County. He and his sisters grew up financially disadvantaged, but through Texas values like hard work and standing up for what you believe in - they have succeeded. He is an Army Veteran, Businessman, and life flight pilot. In his own business, Joe created federal policy with the FAA, DOT, and TPWD. Joe's priorities in Congress are to reduce the federal debt, reduce the federal deficit, impose term limits, fix our healthcare costs, accomplish fair tax reform, and defend constitutional freedoms like the Second Amendment.
“Term limits are an absolute necessity. Public service should not equal permanent employment. With term limits, our congressional representatives may not have looked and sounded so utterly incompetent and out of touch when questioning Mark Zuckerberg. Fresh ideas and views are necessary to keep our country with the times.”
“The materials that ammunition is made of supports American manufacturing, especially as we return these factory and manufacturing jobs to The United States.”
“Within reason, we need a strong military to deter conflict. A partial or total recall of foreign deployed and stationed troops could save money and prevent depleting the life of equipment such as tanks and aircraft. There are geographic locations and situations where and when US troops should be based abroad.”
Decriminalization of Marijuana
“Medical marijuana is a must. Federal taxes on marijuana could support a vast array of programs and costs. Recreational marijuana should be decided at state level, however - the federal classification of the drug needs to be reduced significantly at a minimum. ”
Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness
“Personal freedoms are the cornerstone of the American existence.”
“Understanding that coal power is not only a job source for many Americans but a significant pollutant, I would like to see alternative forms of energy used. Fort Bend / Brazoria County is both home to nuclear and coal power plants - any move away from coal should come with training the current coal employees to nuclear positions. We shouldn’t turn our back on coal-related employees.”
“We need healthcare reform, but The Affordable Care Act was not and is not the answer.”
