My Positions

SUPPORT
S

Abortion

“With limits on gestation period.. My current opinion, is that an abortion should be completed before the end of the embryonic stage - except in the event of pregnancy as a result of a crime against that person.”

SUPPORT
S

Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness

“Personal freedoms are the cornerstone of the American existence.”

SUPPORT
S

Decriminalization of Marijuana

“Medical marijuana is a must. Federal taxes on marijuana could support a vast array of programs and costs. Recreational marijuana should be decided at state level, however - the federal classification of the drug needs to be reduced significantly at a minimum. ”

OPPOSE
O

Obamacare

“We need healthcare reform, but The Affordable Care Act was not and is not the answer.”

Sensible Gun Action

“Keyword: Sensible. Americans have the absolute right to keep and bear arms, but we must keep the guns out of the hands of criminals. Some loopholes need to be closed to prevent criminals and mentally ill people from purchasing firearms. Certain mental conditions that are permanent could result in permanent restriction from purchase. Temporary conditions should have temporary restriction.”

STRONGLY OPPOSE

Ammunition Regulation

“The materials that ammunition is made of supports American manufacturing, especially as we return these factory and manufacturing jobs to The United States.”

Mental Illness & Guns

“Mentally ill people should not be able to purchase or have access to firearms. Temporary conditions should result in a temporary restriction which is removed IMMEDIATELY upon treatment or cure of condition.”

SUPPORT
S

National Defense

“Within reason, we need a strong military to deter conflict. A partial or total recall of foreign deployed and stationed troops could save money and prevent depleting the life of equipment such as tanks and aircraft. There are geographic locations and situations where and when US troops should be based abroad.”

“I believe we spend too many American dollars on foreign soil.”

GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION

“Term limits are an absolute necessity. Public service should not equal permanent employment. With term limits, our congressional representatives may not have looked and sounded so utterly incompetent and out of touch when questioning Mark Zuckerberg. Fresh ideas and views are necessary to keep our country with the times.”

Energy Technology & Coal

“We need to continue seeking cleaner energy. I strongly support a TX District 22 where the citizens and businesses require ZERO approval to install solar / wind energy producing devices, other than perhaps inspections as to the structural stability of such equipment.”

NEUTRAL

Coal

“Understanding that coal power is not only a job source for many Americans but a significant pollutant, I would like to see alternative forms of energy used. Fort Bend / Brazoria County is both home to nuclear and coal power plants - any move away from coal should come with training the current coal employees to nuclear positions. We shouldn’t turn our back on coal-related employees.”
