“The Bill of Rights was intended to limit the government and emphasize its role in protecting freedom. We've lost our way. I believe we need to push back towards the plain reading of the Constitution, develop an understanding of the historical context, and then push policy and programs towards massive decentralization with a goal of increasing personal liberty.”
“Parents are the primary educators of their children. Vouchers will empower those that engage their duties to educate their children and create a free-market that is responsive to the individual needs of children. Top-down control spreads mediocrity. Also, we must keep curriculum decentralized to prevent it from being used to control our children's fact base and thought process. ”
“The Heller case was correctly decided as it recognized an individual right to self-defense. A person's right to self-defense shouldn't be restricted without due process. The use of the "No-Fly List" to remove those rights is a strong example of government over-reach and open abuse of due process. If this List were to be used, it would first require massive changes to make it open & transparent.”
“Within a reasonable balance of environmental guidelines, the full range of energy alternatives must be allowed to be developed by the free-market to increase supply and drive down costs. This policy is a major component of forming a strong economy and a strong economy is our best approach to dealing with an out-of-control and dangerous level of public debt.”
