Always striving to lead, the United States Military Academy honed Jared's leadership skills and instilled the values of “Duty, Honor, and Country.” His experiences leading our nation’s very finest helped him to become the kind of leader needed now more than ever in Washington. Jared Thomas is a fighter willing to continue taking the kind of strong, principled stands required by Hoosiers and by our nation’s veterans and military members. Jared intends to fight for the conservative principles that have long made America the “shining city on a hill” that Ronald Reagan immortalized.
“Indiana's agriculture helps feed the world. Yet, the federal government--and the EPA in particular--continues to overstep its boundaries with unfair regulations that are an abuse of power. Indiana ranks #1 in wood office furniture, #1 in kitchen cabinet manufacturing, and #1 in duck production. With $5.7B in agricultural exports last year, we clearly have a lot to offer the country and the world!”

As a truly grassroots campaign aimed at breaking down the walls that surround our country’s political process, every single dollar counts and every individual donation is crucially important. It isn’t fair that politics is limited solely to those with the money and connections to force their way into the conversation. Democracy is government for the people, by the people. Too often, politicians vote based on party lines and their own self interests. I intend to vote with my conscience and as a true servant representative of my constituents. I intend to put the good of the country before myself. The toxic divide in our nation today means that individuals on both ends of the political spectrum fail to even consider the opposing point of view. This leads to stagnation and an inability to compromise. The continued progress of this country is too important to let blind partisan beliefs rule the day. America was meant to be fully inclusive to all races, religions, and ideologies. America was meant to be welcoming to anyone that wanted a better life for themselves. Far too many people in this country are oppressed or ignored. Far too many people outside this country are vilified and condemned. My Soldiers standing guard in Iraq weren’t Democrats or Republicans. They were Americans first and Americans foremost. Soldiers of every race, creed, and religion worked hand-in-hand won their Muslim counterparts in the Iraqi Army to rid the world of an unspeakable evil. We can all learn a valuable lesson from their selfless sacrifice.
