No democratic race should be uncontested, and the LOU/LAF/287 district has remained uncontested for far too long. So candidates run assuming "progressive values!" - which stances represent anything but progress, and give us negative value for our money. Make no mistake - the taxes Denver commands from us ARE our money; not Denver's. I am an immigrant to the United States, and I moved to this district in 2010. I love the area, I love Colorado, and I love America. We will keep our liberties only as long as we defend them. I, like you, have a home here. Let's defend it together.
“The statement was "opposes or supports laws that benefit farms... including federal subsidies and insurance guarantees". Inasmuch as this applies to the state, I oppose taxpayer handouts for farmers. I do support lightening regulations against what they can or cannot farm in the first place.”
“I acknowledge Einstein's equation of mass/energy, E=mc^2. Coloradans deserve the most efficient means of energy production, with the least units of pollution (including carbon) per kilojoule harvested. I oppose wind power; windmills are ugly at best and birdblenders at worst. The most efficient and least damaging energy supply is nuclear.”
“We have vast tracts of underpopulated land in Colorado. A ban on fracking in a major urban county like Denver makes sense. Elsewhere, fracking makes more sense. Let's bring down energy costs and get our people to work.”
“I support right-to-work legislation. The policies of Governor Walker of Wisconsin are a model for Colorado as well.”
“"Mental illness" is vague. Historically, a tyrannical government has defined opposition to state orthodoxy as an illness, and used this as an excuse to destroy our liberties. I will resist any legislative effort to subvert these definitions. The laws on Colorado's books are strong enough.”
