I'm a third generation progressive activist, who recognizes that the fight for a more just and more representative community and country has only just begun. All too often, Olympia acts as four different and mutually antagonistic towns: a state capital, a quirky alt-culture college town, a former logging hub, and a haven for houseless people throughout greater Cascadia. As a formerly homeless student, a worker in a downtown business, a Bernie Sanders delegate, and a member of Olympia's thriving queer community, I'm personally invested in giving all Olympians a voice in how we govern.
“I strongly support the Opportunity for Olympia initiative, which will provide at least one year free community college tuition – or that equivalent amount toward public, in-state university tuition – for all high school graduates and GED recipients in Olympia, through a 1.5% tax on household income in excess of $200,000.”
