I attended Drury College in Springfield, Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996. I joined the U.S. Navy in May 1997. I was commissioned, August of 1997. While in the Navy I served in multiple roles to include Division, Operations, and Executive Officer. My area of expertise was Anti-terrorism and Naval Coastal Warfare. In 2009, I switched services to the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence Officer. I was in a Deputy for Human Intelligence Operations for I Corps, a Joint Intelligence Officer in Afghanistan, and a Military Intelligence Planner for the Iran/Iraq/Kuwait.
“Military leaders have stated there no longer exists the capability to fight a two front war due to the size of the military. This should be a concern with the global threat of terrorism which can cross either coast through various means. There needs to be a focus on maintaining military skills which take a great deal of time to train, vice skills which can be taught when a surge is needed.”
“The border needs to be secured and immigration needs to be reformed. Securing the border using physical and technological barriers will assist in saving taxpayer money because it allows for the limited resources to be directed to areas of incursion. An updated immigration system which incorporates biometrics, background checks, and E-verify will provide security and reduce illegal activity.”
