I was born and raised in the greater Seattle area, and I am now fortunate to be raising my own family in Bothell, Washington. I am not a professional politician, but a hardworking citizen who believes that families and small businesses prioritize spending while state government continues to spend beyond its means. I am running a self-funded campaign, which gives me the freedom of not having my legislative votes dictated by special interests, but backed by voters like you. Aaron, his wife Jennifer, and their two children live in Bothell.
“The government needs to stop interfering in the private lives of the American citizen. It is not their responsibility or obligation to babysit adults.”
“We have moved beyond the days when women had to risk their lives to end an unwanted or unsafe pregnancy. The decision about abortion must remain a decision for the woman and her doctor to make, not the government.”
“It’s time we raise our minimum wage statewide to help grow our middle class and help families rise out of poverty. Our consumer-based economy is based on an individual spending. When people have more disposable money to spend, businesses have to hire more employees to keep up with increased demand. I support I-1433. I support a fair minimum wage with Cost-Of-Living Adjustment (COLA).”
“LGBTQ rights are human rights. I believe that people should have equal rights that are not infringed upon due to gender, sexual orientation, race, or religion. Protections need to be expanded so that all members of the LGBTQ community are treated with respect and not discriminated against. Everyone in the LGBTQ is a member of our society and needs to be treated with respect. ”
“Hydraulic Fracking is intensive and riskier than conventional drilling, making the process more dangerous than ever. Fracking brings rampant environmental and economic problems to communities across the country. ”
“The legislature has a duty to the residents of Washington State, regardless of socioeconomic status. If a resident ends up homeless, we need to find avenues to support that person during a hard time. Homelessness plagues our society and it is caused by many factors. To end chronic homelessness, we need to look to programs like Housing First in Salt Lake City, Utah which has reduced it by 92%.”
“I support public higher education funding, including for vocational, technical and AA degree. We need more workforce training for the next generation as well as for workers seeking retraining for any reason to improve their personal and professional goals. ”
